I know, once in a while, I want something funky to craft with but not too over-the-top. And if you're like me, scarves are my go-to handmade gift. So, when I got the opportunity to get an overstock of pulled silk I took it! But, I asked the co-op I work with to make a little twist on the norm. Wouldn't it be cool, I thought, to get the pulled silk overdyed in a rainbow of colors?
Well, that's what I did! So, from reclaimed silk, a small co-op took 4 fun colors and their overstock and dyed away! What we got was a brand new blend of pulled silk yarn that is perfect for scarves or items that you need to be extra soft, not over-the-top wild but still have beautiful pops of color.
Each hank is 100g and has 150 yards. I like to use US size 10 needles for knitting up a quick project. If you check out the swatch I knitted up, you can see the denseness achieved with the size 10 needle so there is wiggle room on either side of the sizing to move up or down. Hand wash cold, lay flat to dry or utilize the Dryel system (my personal fave)
